Statement of Faith

My faith is of central importance to me, and I try to both live and work in accordance with what I believe. The following statements are central to my faith as a Bible-believing Christian.

I believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God. I believe that what it says is true and trustworthy and that God chooses to reveal Himself through its pages. As such, I choose to base my decisions for life on what is found within it.

I believe that there is one God, and that He is eternal and exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

I believe that Jesus Christ of Nazareth was fully God and fully man. I believe that He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and performed miracles as the four Gospels say. I believe that Jesus Christ was crucified to atone for the sins of the world and that He rose from the dead three days later. I believe that He ascended back to heaven, where He is now seated at the right hand of God the Father, and that He will return one day to judge the earth.

I believe that through His sacrificial death and resurrection, Jesus Christ has made a way for mankind to be reconciled with God, who is holy.

I believe that salvation is a free gift and that sanctification takes place through the help of the Holy Spirit.

I believe that Christians are called to a life of following and obeying God and that our mission is to spread the Gospel of Christ.

Please know that you do not have to agree with this statement of faith in order to work with me. This is my personal belief and what I have chosen for my life. Please know, however, that if I feel that your story violates what I believe, I will elect not to work with you on that project and will encourage you to find an editor more aligned with your beliefs.
